My 1st Re-Design!

This house is currently on the market, and I am proud to say that I helped to transform this house into something slightly cozier.  After learning all I have with remodeling, designing, and staging, this house went from salmon, mint, and lavendar colored walls to a slightly more soothing neutral beige so that house hunters can picture their own furnishings in the home. We opened up the office space by removing some bookshelves that covered up the beautiful wood molding around the perimeter of the room, and added some color to the fireplace to detract from the brass, as well as adding some splashes of color to the kitchen's white washed pickled oak cabinets. The same wheeling neutral was used throughout the house for warmth and consistency.

This house was a lot of fun to RE-DESIGN!  Looking forward to my next remodel, re-design, or staging project!!

Jamaica on the market

Jamaica ~  This property was in relatively good condition, but did need to be updated.  Start to finish, property took 60 days for completion, thanks to some troublesome contractors that were hired on this property.  New texture throughout house, new carpet, new 4" red oak hardwood in entry, living, dining, kitchen, new fixtures, new doors, trimwork, new vanities, new everything! This is the first of 4 houses that I finally used my trademark name.....Red Door!  The color of the front doors is simply stunning, Chipolte Paste.  This house is turn key and ready for a family in the Cherry Creek Vista neighborhood! $469,900

Beeler property sold!

Well, it was a sad day, as well as a HAPPY day on April 23rd. My first flip property, Beeler, AKA the Hoarder house, sold last week! This was definetely the house that had the biggest transformation. No, before and after pictures were NOT shown. Red Door Re-Design really had a lot of fun on this house. Although there were not a lot of walls moved, re-designing this property was challenging! The fireplace really came out nicely with a custom stained mantle, courtesy of my dad, Kevin. The Uba Tuba granite fireplace is stunning! The kitchen wall was moved back only 27" into the dining room, to make for a slightly larger kitchen, and a peninsula was added!  The peacock green granite slab from Brazil is simply the most beautiful stone I have ever seen! The master bathroom wall was cut back by 20" to allow for a slightly roomier bathroom. All said and done, Beeler was a success!

Beeler is under contract!!!

Beeler St

Listed on Friday, 3/8
Under contract Sunday, 3/10

A lot of heart and soul went into making this house a cozy home.  When I first walked into this house, I was amazed....it was just like an episode of hoarders.  With lots of time, energy, a LOT of trash bags, and some amazing people (my parents), we were able to get this hoarder house turned into a cozy home.

Beeler - the hoarder house

Beeler was actually the first house we were under contract with, but the last one to close on because of the short sell process. This house was crazy full of things. The previous owner was a hoarder. Ever seen Hoarders???

Just like that, but thankfully nothing alive in there.... Floor to ceiling with belongings and junk piled high.  Literally stepping over things to get through the house.  It was insanity and I couldn't wait to get to work on the design process for this makeover! This 2600 sq foot tri-level home has 3 bedrooms upstairs, a large living room off the front entry, and a lower living room on the 3rd level.

We are about 2 weeks out from listing this property.  Look back for remodel pictures tomorrow!
